As the most recent addition to the Collaborate design team, Janet is delighted with the opportunity to offer her interior design services to you. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Harrington College of Design in Chicago, and proudly maintains membership in the professional organizations of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
With years of experience in custom window treatments and soft goods design, and as set designer in upstate New York, Janet has also earned film credit for her design work in the motion picture industry. Residing in Singapore inspired Janet with new design ideas from ancient cultures. Having most recently visited Europe and Asia, she feels that her unique travel experiences have enhanced her varied background. Janet has contributed to her children’s school and extra-curricular organizations by acting as booster club president, fundraising chair, and Girl Scout leader. She draws on all of these life experiences to run her projects in an organized and innovative manner.
Janet assures that her design solutions are appropriate to every distinct set of circumstances by always listening and attending to her clients’ needs. Her design knowledge and sense of style enable her to guide her clients through challenging assignments. Janet feels that challenges can open doors to creativity. She emphasizes that her clients’ needs, desires, and lifestyles are at the top of her priority list, promising innovative results designed especially for each individual project.
